Over One
Hundred Pounds of Pesticides Safely Disposed Of
Thurston
County-More than 100 pounds of unwanted pesticides were collected and
safely disposed of from the East Bay Drive Neighborhood.Residents in this neighborhood are part of the Pesticide-Free Model
Neighborhood Project and have committed to gardening, landscaping, and lawn
care without the use of pesticides for one year. Least-toxic products are
provided to the neighborhood to replace the products disposed of.
Eleven households participated in
the collection and disposed of products such as; 2,4-D, dicamba, glyphosphate,
diazinon, and malathion.
