Adoption
Celebration to be Held
OLYMPIA
– The
annual Adoption Celebration, a recognition for adoptive families, will be held
in mid-November. This is the
second year for the special ceremony. Thurston
County Superior Court Judge Christine Pomeroy says it’s a chance for
adoptive parents and their families to get together and celebrate.
“They can meet other adoptive families, hear their stories and tell
their own and also meet adoption attorneys and judges.”
Judge Pomeroy is the presiding judge for
Thurston
County
’s Family and Juvenile Court.
The
Adoption Celebration is for all types of adoptions, foreign and domestic.
Those who attend can-

Obtain information on adoption support groups.
·
Grab some photos.
·
Socialize and have some refreshments.
·
Take advantage of story telling and craft activities
for children.
Last year in
Thurston
County
there were 78 adoptions approved. Through
the end of September of this year, 78 more adoptions were approved.
The
Adoption Celebration will be held at-
