Affordable Housing and Homeless
Housing Proposals Sought
OLYMPIA
-- Non-profit
organizations, local municipalities, faith-based organizations, and developers
that provide housing and/or serve homeless or formerly homeless households are
invited to submit housing grant proposals. The Thurston County HOME Consortium
anticipates awarding up to $600,000 in housing funds from the Affordable
Housing Program ($100,000) and Homeless Housing Program ($500,000). The
request for proposals is divided into four sections:

Forms
In
addition to submitting written applications, applicants are required to
formally present their proposals before the HOME Consortium.
Funds under the program may be used in four broad areas:
·
Affordable and
homeless housing capital projects
·
Operation and
maintenance (O&M) – Homeless Housing Program only
·
Rental
assistance
·
Homeless
activities and services
Thurston
County
will hold a technical
assistance workshop on Wednesday March 11, 2009, (from 11:00 – 1:00) in Room
280 of the County Courthouse Building One. Staff will be available to answer
questions and provide assistance in preparing applications.
Submission
deadline for applications is 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 1, 2009.
Those interested should submit
one original, four copies, and an electronic version of the proposal to:
