THURSTON
COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS
HOST FAIR BREAKFAST
OLYMPIA
–
How would you like to have a hearty breakfast, meet your
County
Commissioners
and then enjoy a spectacular day at the county fair?
Well, you have the opportunity to do all three of those things this
Saturday at the annual Thurston County Fair Pancake Breakfast. The
special breakfast will be held on Saturday, August 4th.
The breakfast is free with a paid admission to the fairgrounds.
County Commissioners will be serving up the food at the breakfast,
which runs from 8:30 AM to 10 AM. The
breakfast is paid for and served by the
County
Commissioners
and county staff.
Commissioner Oberquell says, “This breakfast is
something we look forward to every year. It
gives us a chance to literally serve county residents and get to know them a
bit at the same time. It’s just
a good way for folks to get an early start on the day and to enjoy the fair
afterwards.”
The 2007 Thurston County Fair will feature more than
100 food, crafts and commercial vendors as well as the carnival midway.
Entertainment, which is free with fair admission, includes singer Trent
Summar, the Colgate Country Showdown and Randy Stonehill among many others.
Tickets for the Thurston County Fair are- $6 for
adults, $4 for seniors and youth and free for those five and under, EXCEPT on
Wednesday, August 1st which is One-Buck-Wednesday.
Visitors on Wednesday can enter the fair for only $1 by bringing a
donation of cash or a non-perishable food item, which will go to Thurston
County Food Banks.
The fair, at
3054 Carpenter Road SE
