-- More than 100 years of the Thurston County Fair is covered in a new history
book. This wonderful book shows
how the fair both reflects and was influenced by the times, as history
unfolded. Those who pre-order the
book can receive a discount.

The Thurston County Fair
What:
The publication of a book covering the history of the county fair since
it began in 1871 to the present. This easy to read book covers the
year-to-year description of new buildings, new exhibits and contests, and also
shows how current events affected the fair. AND, the story includes political
intrigue, weather disasters, fraud and robbery, escaping porcupines and gilded
peach pit crowns!
When:
In order to obtain a slice of history in book form, you need to
pre-order this approximately 250-page book by June 1st at the cost
of $25. The book will be available for pick up after August 1.
How:
