COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HOST BREAKFAST OLYMPIA -- A special pancake breakfast will be held on Saturday August 4th, as part of the festivities at the Thurston County Fair. The breakfast is free with a paid admission to the fairgrounds. County Commissioners Kevin O'Sullivan, Cathy Wolfe and Diane Oberquell will be serving up the food at the event, which runs from 9 AM to 10 AM. Commissioner Oberquell says, "The breakfast is a chance for those attending the fair to fill up on good food before they tackle the many displays and demonstrations that will be featured. In addition, we get a chance to chat with county residents." This year's Thurston County Fair will feature more than 100 food, crafts and commercial vendors. Entertainment, which is free with Fair admission, includes well-known singer B. J. Thomas. Thomas, famous for his many hits including "Raindrops keep falling on my head" will appear at 6 and 8:30 Friday evening, August third. Other entertainers include vocal group the Akafellas, Country and Western artist Kevin Wade Juma, clown J. P. Patches and more. Tickets for the Thurston County Fair are- § Six Dollars for adults. § Four Dollars for Seniors and Youth § Free for those Five and under.
