Free Mental
Health Forum to be Held
OLYMPIA
-- The annual Thurston-Mason Regional Support Network community mental health
forum will be held next month in
Olympia
. This is the fourth year for the
free forum and the theme is “Live Your Best Life”.
The focus is on planning for future medical and mental health needs,
especially during crisis.
The
forum will be beneficial for many community members including consumers of
mental health services, family members of consumers, caregivers and providers
of community-based mental health services in Thurston and
Mason
Counties
.
Those
attending can create their own “Health Care Passport” with information
that might be needed during a mental health or medical crisis.
Attendees will be able to-
Create
& Register Living Will documents*, which include:
- Health Care Directive
- Durable Power of Attorney
for Health Care
- Mental Health Advance
Directive
(*If
you would like to have your documents notarized free of charge on-site, please
bring photo identification.)
The
forum is sponsored by the Thurston Mason Regional Support Network Advisory
Board in collaboration with Capital Clubhouse, Behavioral Health Resources,
Providence St. Peter Hospital, SeaMar,
Thurston County Mental Health Court
, and the Thurston-Mason National Association for the Mentally Ill.
