County
Hazardous Waste Plan Update
OLYMPIA
--
Thurston
County
residents are invited to help update the county’s Hazardous Waste Plan.
The Thurston County Public Health and Social Services Department’s
Environmental Health Division is updating the local plan.
The Washington State Hazardous Waste Management Act requires counties
to have plans for managing hazardous materials produced by households and
small businesses. The last
“Hazardous Waste Plan for
Thurston
County
” was adopted in 1998, and is in need of revision. To
assist the county in this process, a stakeholder group is meeting monthly.
If you are interested in participating in this group as a citizen
representative, or if you would like more information, call 360-754-4111or see
http://www.co.thurston.wa.us/health/ehhw/hwplan/index.html.
Residents may also visit the website to submit comments and questions.
