Local Employers Invited to Apply for Employee Health and Wellness Program Funding

OLYMPIA Thurston County employers are invited to apply for funding to support employee health and wellness programs. Thurston County has received an ASIST2010 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office on Women’s Health to support employers interested in completing projects that create better access to healthy eating or physical activity at work and promoting those options to employees.  Funding, up to $1000 per organization until all funds allotted are gone, is offered only to employers that have not yet received funding as part of ASIST2010.  Funding is competitive.

Applications for funding can be picked up at the Thurston County Health Department at 412 Lilly Rd, NE in Olympia or downloaded from the county website at:  http://www.co.thurston.wa.us/health/
