Ownerships Grant Applications Sought
OLYMPIA
– Appropriate Organizations in
Thurston
County
are invited to apply for HOME Investment Partnership funding (HOME) to
administer a homeownership and homeowner rehabilitation program.
The homeownership program is referred to as The American
Dream Downpayment Assistance Program (or ADDI). The ADDI Program assists
low-income first-time homebuyers in purchasing single-family homes by
providing funds for down payment, closing costs, and rehabilitation, when
carried out in conjunction with the assisted home purchase. The minimum amount
available to for this program is $70,000.
Funding for homeowner housing rehabilitation will be awarded
to an organization or unit of local government that will design and implement
a small cities homeowner housing rehabilitation program to serve the
unincorporated areas of
Thurston
County
. The minimum amount available for this program is $148,500.
Funding
priority will be given to proposals that meet the following goals:
- Housing
rehabilitation projects that serve small families and assist households
that are at 50% or less of the county’s median income.

Housing
rehabilitation projects that target the south county communities of Tenino,
Bucoda,
Rainier
, and Yelm
·
Organizations
that leverage county funds and meet the HOME match requirements.
·
Homeownership
and lending marketing to African-American and Hispanic households.
Submission deadline for
proposals is Tuesday September 30, 2008.
Interested parties should
submit one original and four copies of the proposal to:
