Affordable
and Homeless Housing Grants Available
OLYMPIA
–Interested parties are invited to
apply for approximately
$600,000 in Affordable Housing (HB 2060) and Homeless Housing (HB 2163)
funding for 2007. Up to $400,000
will be available for capital projects, while up to $200,000 will be available
for project/program operating costs.
Funds
must be used to produce or preserve long-term affordable and/or homeless
housing in
Thurston
County
for low-income residents. Projects
must be eligible activities that support permanent or rental housing, property
acquisition, housing rehabilitation, new construction, or projects that assist
homeless persons and families. Priority
in funding will be given to projects that:

Reduce the number of
homeless individuals.
·
Benefit the unincorporated
and rural areas of the county.
·
Leverage additional project
funds and resources.
·
Meet and are consistent
with the mission and goals of the HOME Consortium.
Applicants must be towns, cities
or nonprofit organizations within
Thurston
County
, and for-profit developers who provide affordable housing in accordance with
HB 2060 and HB 2163. Submission
deadline for proposals is Friday, February 23, 2007.
Qualified
parties must submit one original and four copies of the proposal to:
