County
Launches
New Planning/Land Use Web Page
OLYMPIA
–
Thurston
County
is in the midst of several major revisions of planning and land use
regulations that will affect many county residents.
In order to make it easier for county residents to track these
projects, a special page has been created on the county’s web site.
Planning Manager John Sonnen says it’s an effort to
make all of the information available from one central page.
“We know there are many people interested in these issues and we
wanted to make sure that the background is available to everyone and that it
is as easy to find as possible. That’s
why we created the Current Land-Use, Environmental and Planning Issues
web page.” From that page, web
site visitors can easily access the information regarding issues such as the
Critical Areas Ordinance, Sub-Division Moratorium, Growth Management
Compliance and Henderson Inlet Septic System Program.
There are also brief descriptions with each issue so web page users can
make sure it’s the information they are looking for.
In addition, upcoming opportunities for public involvement will be
prominently featured on the page.
The page can be found at http://www.co.thurston.wa.us/land-use/index.htm
but there is also a “hot” button on the front page of the
county
web site
(www.co.thurston.wa.us) that will
take surfers to the planning and land-use page.
