There is no
land use hearing at Monday’s County Commission meeting
OLYMPIA – Property owners in Thurston County
may have recently received an item in the mail saying a land use hearing is
set for Monday’s meeting of the Board of Thurston County Commissioners.
A newspaper ad on Thursday (7/3) repeated the same incorrect
information. However, neither the
mailer nor the ad was sponsored by Thurston County and no hearing is
planned for the meeting.
Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Dotty Tryk
says she hopes people will understand. “We
do not have any land use hearings scheduled for Monday.
The case in question is an appeal from one individual regarding a
decision that was made earlier involving one particular piece of property.
The prescribed way that these sessions are handled means no public
testimony will be taken. Again,
this involves one property owner and one specific case.”
