HOST FAIR BREAKFAST

A special pancake breakfast will be held on Saturday, August 5th at
the 2006 Thurston County Fair. The
breakfast is free with a paid admission to the fairgrounds.
County
Commissioners
Diane Oberquell, Cathy Wolfe and Bob Macleod will be serving up the food at
the event, which runs from 8:30 AM to 10 AM.

Commissioner Oberquell says, “This is something that
we have done for several years now at the fair and it’s a lot of fun.
We invite folks to come to the fair a little bit earlier than they
might normally and join us for a hearty breakfast before they enjoy all of the
other things that the fair has to offer.”
The 2006 Thurston County Fair will feature more than
100 food, crafts and commercial vendors. Entertainment,
which is free with fair admission, includes singer Chris Rice, country artist
Jace Everett, the “Let’s Pretend, Wild West Show” and many others.
Tickets for the Thurston County Fair are- $6 for
adults, $4 for seniors and youth and free for those five and under.
EXCEPT on Wednesday, August 2nd which is One-Buck-Wednesday.
Visitors on Wednesday can enter the fair for only $1 by bringing a
donation of cash or a non-perishable food item, which will go to Thurston
County Food Banks.
The fair, at
3054 Carpenter Road SE
in Lacey, runs from August 2nd through the 6th.
