THURSTON
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HOST BREAKFAST
OLYMPIA -- A special pancake breakfast will be held on Saturday August 2nd
as part of the festivities at the 2003 Thurston County Fair.
The breakfast is free with a paid admission to the fairgrounds.
County Commissioners Diane Oberquell, Cathy Wolfe and Bob Macleod will
be serving up the food at the event, which runs from 8:30 AM to 10 AM.
Commissioner Oberquell says, “The Thurston County Fair is a great
attraction and just keeps getting better each year. The breakfast is a fun way to start your day at the fair and
we look forward to meeting all the folks who stop by.”
This year's Thurston County Fair will feature more than 100 food, crafts
and commercial vendors. Entertainment,
which is free with fair admission, includes internationally known vocal group Firefall. The band has many hits to its credit including “Just
remember I love you” and “You are the woman”.
Firefall will appear Friday evening, August 1st. Other entertainers include the Jude Bowerman Band at 8 PM on
Thursday, August 31st.
Senior and Military Appreciation Day at the Thurston County Fair is
Wednesday, July 30th and Kid’s Day is Thursday, July 31st.
On their respective days, the first 1,000 seniors, active military
members or kids get in for half price.
Tickets for the Thurston County Fair are-

Dollars for Seniors and Youth

Free
for those Five and under.
The fair, at 3054 Carpenter Road SE in Lacey, runs
from July 30th through August 3rd.
