Do you change your own motor oil?  You may find it handy to know there are 28 places to recycle used motor oil FOR FREE in Thurston County.  To receive a list of these locations, see the website at www.co.thurston.wa.us/wwm under HazoHouse in the Water and Waste Management section, or call Environmental Health at (360) 754-4111.  Please do not place any other fluids in the recycling tanks -  anything other than used motor oil contaminates the tank, creating hazardous waste and costing thousands of dollars to clean up.  When using the oil recycling tanks Thurston County asks you to respect the businesses that host these sites by not leaving containers, oil filters, or disposing of your oil when the tank is full.
