Back To School Immunization Clinics
OLYMPIA – The
Thurston County Public Health & Social Services Department will be
offering two catch-up immunization only clinics after school starts;
September 7th from 2-7pm at Yelm Community Center and September 10
from 10am-4pm at the Health Department on Lilly Road.
Parents are requested to bring their child’s immunization records.
At the Health Department sponsored
clinics there will be a $10 fee for each vaccine, but no one will be refused
service due to inability to pay.
Medical coupons are gladly accepted.
Translation services will be available in Spanish and Vietnamese.
Parents of children entering
kindergarten, through age 18, can avoid the back to school immunization rush
by planning ahead.
Before school begins, they should schedule an immunization
appointment with their children’s healthcare provider.
People without a healthcare
provider, may schedule an immunization appointment at Pacific Walk-In Clinic,
455-1350, or Big Rock Health Clinic, 357-8822; fees may apply.
Families without insurance can call CHOICE at 1-800-981-2123.
Officials with CHOICE can provide assistance in finding a doctor.
