Thurston
County
Storm & Surface Water Utility Seeking Citizens for Advisory Board
OLYMPIA
-- The
Thurston County Storm & Surface Water Utility has three openings on its
citizen advisory board, and interested residents are urged to apply.
Advisory board members attend monthly meetings and assist the
County
stormwater
utility with decisions on capital facilities planning, rates, budget, annual
work program, and policy proposals. South
county residents are especially needed. Interested
citizens are invited to attend the next meeting on Thursday, October 9, from
5:30 to 7:00 pm, at
2404 Heritage Court SW
, in
West Olympia
in the 2nd floor conference room.
Anyone
who wishes to be considered for a position on the board should submit a resume
and cover letter describing their interest, relevant experience, general
affiliation and the watershed area they represent. Interested individuals must
complete a Thurston County Citizen Advisory Boards/Commissions/Committee
Application. The application can be downloaded from the
County
Web site
at www.co.thurston.wa.us.
Once on the web site, interested parties should click on Board of County
Commissioners button, then Advisory Boards and the application is located in
the upper right.
Those
interested can also pick up an application at the Thurston County Courthouse,
