Commissioners CANCEL Meeting in Tenino
OLYMPIA
– Because of uncertainty
about the weather, Thurston County Commissioners have canceled a “Community
Conversation” that HAD been set for tomorrow (1/29) evening in Tenino.
Thurston County Chief Administrative Officer Don Krupp says
commissioners are disappointed that the meeting has to be postponed, but felt
that rescheduling the meeting is appropriate considering the weather forecast.
“It’s always difficult to guess what the weather might bring but
given the forecast for more snow tonight and tomorrow, the Commissioners
decided to move the meeting to a later date.
We want to make sure that people don’t have to drive in snowy
conditions if they can avoid it and we also wanted to hold the meeting when
it’s convenient for a lot of folks to attend.”
No
date has been set yet for the rescheduled Community Conversation in Tenino.
There will be announcements regarding the date and time when that has
been determined.
The
future meeting in Tenino is one of a series of public meetings the
Commissioners are holding in south
Thurston
County
. A meeting has already been held
in
Rochester
. Those
