Recreation Facility Allocation

 

Thurston County Parks and Recreation Services allocates the following facilities:

  • Kenneydell Park Sports Fields
    6631 Fairview Road SW, Olympia

    • 1 unlit full size soccer field with goals

    • 1 unlit softball/baseball field with fencing (no pitching mound)

    • Parking close by

    • Restrooms

    • Drinking fountains

    • Covered picnic areas

    • Walking trails

    • Swimming beach

    • Two playground structures

    • DIRECTIONS:
      From I-5 South: Take US-101 Exit 104 toward Aberdeen/Port Angeles. Take the exit toward Black Lake. Turn left onto Black Lake Blvd SW. Turn left onto Black Lake-Belmore Rd SW. Turn right onto 66TH Ave SW. Take the 1st left onto Fairview Rd SW. Kenneydell Park is on the right.

  • Griffin Athletic Fields (in cooperation with the Griffin School District)
    6924 41st Avenue NW, Olympia

    • 2 unlit full size soccer/football fields with goals

    • 1 unlit softball/baseball field (no pitching mound)

    • Sanicans

    • Walking trail

    • Picnic tables

    • Plenty of paved parking

    • DIRECTIONS:
      From I-5 South: Take US-101 Exit #104 toward Aberdeen/Port Angeles. Turn right onto Oyster Bay Rd NW. Take the 2nd right onto 41ST Ave NW. Griffin Athletic Fields are on the left.

  • Chehalis Western Trail

    27.5 miles of paved trail for your walking, running or bicycling events

Many requests for use are expected and may exceed facility availability, however, our goal is to accommodate everyone in the most equitable way possible.

Note: Fields cannot be allocated for individual teams within an organization.

Baseball/softball fields are open from until March 1 through October 31.
Soccer fields are open from April 1 through October 31.
Trails are open year round.
