Cover Design Winner

This year the artwork on the cover of our local voters’ pamphlet was drawn by Marie Helton, a 8th grader from Tumwater Middle School. Marie’s art won first place in Thurston County’s Voter Pamphlet Cover Contest. The contest was presented to schools within Thurston County with the following slogan:

“Your Vote Is Your Voice.”

There were many outstanding entries for the contest. Second place went to Danielle Sonderby. We had a tie for Third place. Winners were Sam Dyer-Vatne and Earl Nash. Schools represented were Tumwater and Bush Middle Schools. You can see their artwork on the next page.
