Registration Deadlines for New Applicants

You may register to vote at any time. State law requires you to register at least 30 days before an election if you wish to vote at a polling place.

If you miss the 30 day registration deadline, you may register between 30 and 15 days before an election providing you meet the following requirements: you must be a resident at the same address for at least 30 days prior to an election; you must register in person at the Auditorís Office; and you must vote an absentee ballot. If you register after the 15 day deadline, your registration will be processed for the next election.

Change of Residence

If you move to a new county, you must complete a new voter registration form. However, you must request an address update on your registration. This can be done by calling or writing the Auditorís Office. To be eligible to vote in your new precinct, you must re-register or update your registration at least 30 days before an election.
