Black Lake Special District
Special Election, November 5, 2013
Qualifications and Instructions

 
     
 
To be eligible to vote in this Special Election you must own property within the proposed jurisdiction and must be a registered voter in the State of Washington for at least 30 days (Sunday, October 6, 2013) prior to the election.

  Ballot Packets:
 
Ballot packets contain two ballots for each ten acre parcel or major fraction thereof owned within the proposed district.
 
  Voting Qualifications:
 
If you own your land as a singular property owner, you are entitled to vote all ballots.
 
If your property is community property (two spouses own it jointly), each owner is eligible to vote one ballot per parcel.  However, one spouse may choose to designate in writing that the other spouse may vote all ballots.  If only one spouse is an eligible voter, that spouse should vote all ballots.
 
In the case of a corporation, partnership, or governmental entity, one or two persons must be designated in writing to vote all ballots.
 
In the case of multiple undivided interests, other than community property interests, in which no one person owns a majority undivided interest, the owners of the undivided interests at least equal to a majority interest may designate in writing:
 

 

1. Which owner is eligible to vote and may cast all votes; or
2. Which two owners are eligible to vote and may cast one vote each per parcel.
 
  Voting Instructions:
 

After voting, place your voted ballot sheets in the secrecy envelope.  Place the secrecy envelope and your Verification/Designation page in the return envelope.

Place first class postage on your return envelope and mail it.  Your ballot must be postmarked no later than Election Day, November 5, 2013.
