What if I Registered to Vote in Thurston County After the Current Election Registration Deadline?
 
Click on the following situation that applies to you:
 
New Registrant:
If you:
REGISTERED to vote in Thurston County for the first time;
AND you are not previously registered to vote in any other jurisdiction in the United States;
AND you registered past the current election new registration cut-off date;
YOU are registered to vote but you are not eligible to vote in the current election.
However, you are eligible to vote in subsequent Thurston County elections.

Moved Within Washington State:
If you:
ARE registered in another county in Washington state;
AND you registered in Thurston County after the current election cut-off date but you still want to vote in the current election;
THEN you need to contact the county in which you were previously registered to have a ballot forwarded to you at your current address.
You will be eligible to vote in subsequent Thurston County elections.

Moved From Another State:
If you:
ARE registered in another state;
AND you registered in Thurston County after the current election cut-off date but you still want to vote in the current election;
THEN you need to contact the state in which you are registered to have a ballot forwarded to you at your current address;
You will be eligible to vote in subsequent Thurston County elections.
Unable to Get a Ballot:

If for any reason you are unable to get a ballot from your previous county or state of residence, you may come to the Thurston County Auditor's Office at 2000 Lakeridge Dr. SW, Olympia, WA 98502, Bldg1, Rm. 106, to receive and vote a provisional ballot.  This ballot will  be similar to one from your previous county or state of residence.  We will then forward the provisional ballot to your previous county or state.
