Pet Licenses |
| All dogs and cats within the Pet Control Area six months of age or older in Unincorporated Thurston County must be licensed. These licenses may be issued by the Thurston County Auditor's Office or Animal Services. The costs are as follows: | ||

| Dogs which have NOT ben spayed or neutered | $20.00 |

| Low income senior owner-NOT spayed or neutered | $9.00 |
|

Dogs which have been spayed or neutered | $10.00 |
| Low income senior owner-spayed or neutered | $6.00 |
|
|
Puppies 6 months of age or younger (optional) | $10.00 |

Cats which have NOT ben spayed or neutered | $12.00 |
| Low income senior owner-NOT spayed or neutered | $6.00 |

Cats which have been spayed or neutered | $6.00 |
| Low income senior owner-spayed or neutered | $4.00 |

| Low income senior owner status can be obtained from the Thurston County Assessors office. | ||
Proof of alterations (spayed or neutered) must accompany original license application |

If you have 4 or more dogs on your premises you must apply for and obtain a Hobby Kennel license. |

The cost of a Hobby Kennel license is $25.00 per year plus $1.00 per dog. | |
|
Hobby Kennel licenses are not issued for cats. | |
If you maintain a place where adult cats or dogs are kept for breeding purposes, sale for profit, training and boarding for compensation you must apply for and obtain a Commerical Kennel license. |
