Superior Court
Superior Courts are organized by county into 31 judicial districts. Superior Court Judges serve four-year terms. Superior Courts hear felony criminal cases, civil matters, divorces, juvenile cases, and appeals from lower-level courts.
The office will appear on the Primary ballot if two or more candidates file for a position. If only one candidate files for the position of Superior Court Judge, he or she will be deemed elected and issued a Certificate of Election. If two or more candidates file for the position and one receives a majority (50% + 1) of the votes at the Primary Election, he or she will be deemed elected and issued a Certificate of Election. If no one receives a majority (50% + 1) of the votes in the Primary Election, only the top two vote getters will advance to the General Election ballot.
All Superior Court positions are nonpartisan. |

We need judges who are nonpartisan, fair, knowledgeable about the law, and deeply committed to justice for all.
Five years ago, the Judges of Thurston County Superior Court chose Indu to serve as Court Commissioner because they knew they could rely on her expertise and fairness in the administration of justice for families, juvenile offenders and crime victims.
In addition to five years of judicial experience, Commissioner Thomas has enforced the law as an assistant attorney general, drafted the law as nonpartisan legal counsel to the State Senate and defended individuals as a public defender.
Commissioner Thomas lives in Thurston County with her husband, their 15 year old son, and her husband’s parents. The daughter of a pastor and a teacher, she is active in her church and her community. Her broad and deep experience, coupled with her personal commitment to justice for all, will make her an outstanding judge.

Allen Miller has the experience and integrity we need from our Superior Court Judges. For 30 years, Allen has litigated in the Superior Courts throughout the State of Washington. He has handled hundreds of cases at every level of the courts up to the United States Supreme Court. He has also been Assistant Attorney General for the State of Washington and a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Thurston County in addition to serving as an arbitrator and mediator in order to decide cases and resolve disputes brought before the Thurston County Superior Court and other trial courts.
Allen is very active in the community, twice elected to the Olympia School Board, and leader of the United Way and other organizations. Please join your neighbors and community leaders such as Chief Justice Gerry Alexander, Judge Bob Doran, Judge Cork Hicks, Secretary of State Sam Reed, and Denny Heck in support of Allen.

I’m Erik Price and I hope to earn your vote for Superior Court. In nearly 20 years of practicing law, litigating hundreds of cases all across our state, I’ve developed the critical qualities of a judge – work ethic, even temperament, and broad experience in complicated areas of law. When citizens come to court, I’ll work hard to give them confidence that they will be heard respectfully and impartially by a judge who is capable of understanding the issues.
I’m deeply committed to our community. I grew up here, graduated from Olympia H.S, and am raising my family here. I served as President of the Thurston County Bar Association and have been active with the Salvation Army. I am the only candidate who has received the highest possible peer-review rating (“Preeminent”; Martindale). I have the experience, competence, and integrity to serve Thurston County well as your next Superior Court Judge. |
