Commissioner Oberquell MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES AS SUBMITTED. Chairman Wilson SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED.

Municipal Services Contract Between Thurston County and Providence St. Peter Hospital Community Care Clinic

Kathleen Eussen, Director of Personal Health/Nursing provided information on the purpose of the request. This contract will allow the Community Care Clinic to be reimbursed by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) for Medicaid Administrative match funding. Since DSHS only contracts with public entities, the Health Department will be assuring appropriate documentation of activities and function as the pass through for billing and funding between the Community Care Clinic and DSHS. Julia Miller, Acting Director of the Community Care Clinic, was present and thanked the Board for allowing them this opportunity and for the use of space in the Health Department building.

Amendment No. 1 to the Consolidated Contract with Washington State Department of Health

Ms. Eussen explained that this is the first amendment to the Consolidated Contract, the main vehicle for transferring federal and state funding to the County for the delivery of local public health services. A brief explanation of the changes was provided. Commissioner Oberquell MOVED TO APPROVE AND EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO CONTRACT NO. C07728 BETWEEN WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND THE THURSTON COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT. Chairman Wilson SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED.

Director's Report

Sherri McDonald, Deputy Director, reported that Pat Libbey was in Atlanta attending a National Association of City and County Health Officials (NACCHO) meeting. While in Atlanta, Mr. Libbey will be involved in interviewing potential Prevention Resident Placement Candidates with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
