2017 Assessment Appeals

The Assessor mailed 2017 assessment notices for real property parcels on June 1, 2017. Completed taxpayer petition forms must be postmarked or received in the Board of Equalization’s office by 4 PM on July 31, 2017. The Board does not accept petitions by e-mail, fax, or e-filing at this time. You must submit a separate petition form for each tax parcel. Please refer to the Appeal Preparation Guide for Residential Appeals to obtain helpful information needed to prepare your residential real property petition.

The Board’s staff is hosting a number of drop-in help clinics to assist taxpayers who have questions about the appeal process. Please see our flyer for more information. You do not need an appointment. Assistance will be given on a first-come, first-served basis during the help clinics. For more information, please contact our office at (360) 786-5135, TTY/TDD call 711 or 1-800-833-6388, or send e-mail to
