The Thurston County Commissioners have asked Washington State University to contact a sample of local voters about their views on county criminal justice programs and services. County commissioners are sponsoring this survey as part of their commitment to gaining a better understanding of citizens’ priorities.

2000 county residents will be randomly selected and informed by mail (see sample introductory letter and included informational document) of their selection and request that they participate in this survey if contacted.  Of the 2000 residents receiving the initial mailing, 400 will be contacted later by telephone for the actual survey.  The telephone surveys will be conducted starting mid-January.
