The Facilitator's power point presentation is designated to help parents understand the court process. Information is provided on:

Thurston County Volunteer Legal Clinic The Thurston County Volunteer Legal Clinic (TCVLC) offers a Do-It-Yourself Divorce Workshop every other Tuesday beginning at 6:30 p.m. There is a $20 registration fee for this workshop. The workshop is held at the Family Support Center, 108 State Avenue (the corner of State and Capitol Way) Olympia, Washington. Child care is also provided. Legal advice clinics are available for low income residents of Thurston and Mason Counties in the areas of family law, landlord-tenant law and consumer law. A recent law (RPC Rule 1.2) now makes it possible for attorneys to offer limited legal representation (unbundled legal services). This means that self-represented parties can hire an attorney for limited assistance in their case, such as temporary orders, support or parenting plan modification, settlement conferences, trials, etc. The Clerk's Office at the Family and Juvenile Court maintains a binder containing attorneys offering these services along with the areas of practice and the fees each attorney charges. If you are interested in obtaining limited assistance, ask the Clerk's Office to view the binder for Unbundled Legal Services. FOR ATTORNEYS who desire to be included in the list, please complete the form for Unbundled Legal Services and return it to the Manager at the Clerk’s Office Family and Juvenile Court Division as soon as possible. If choosing the Word form, you can return it via e-mail. In that event, please use the words "Unbundled Legal Services" in the subject line. Last updated: 11/14/2006 |
