|
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Directs the work of one or more Road Division crews by establishing work priorities, analyzing work requirements, and determining procedures and methods. A division crew may include road maintenance, vegetation management, traffic or another functional area assigned by management. Position recommends and assists in the preparation of annual work projections and provides input and information to the budget. Will receive general supervision from the Road Operations Supervisor. Depending upon position requirements, work may be performed indoors in an office environment or shop, and/or outdoors. May be exposed to a variety of weather conditions with physical effort exerted. Employees have a potential risk exposure to heavy equipment, traffic, a variety of hazardous materials, supplies, and chemicals, and various terrains.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or G.E.D., and additional course work in management and supervision. Three (3) years of Journey Level experience in road maintenance, construction or heavy equipment operations, and demonstrated ability to plan, lead, and assume responsibility for the work situation. Additional experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Must possess a current and valid Washington CDL Class A driver’s license with air brake, tanker, and hazardous material endorsements or the ability to obtain one prior to appointment (tanker and hazardous material endorsements must be obtained within six months of hire date) or have requested and obtained an appropriate accommodation.
Must possess a valid First Aid Card and a valid Washington Traffic Flagging Card (or one must be obtained within three (3) months of hire date).
Must have certification or ability to obtain certification during probation period, on all Public Works equipment through the Thurston County certification program.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This position serves as a mental health managed care and quality assurance coordinator for the Thurston/Mason Regional Support Network (TMRSN) and is responsible for a variety of resource, utilization and quality management functions. These functions include monitoring mental health programs in the community, monitoring provider contracts, authorizing requests for mental health services, writing policies and procedures, and preparing documentation for audits by both federal and state agencies. Duties may include:
? Provide oversight and monitoring of the managed mental health care system through regulatory compliance, contract monitoring, and quality improvement.
? Provide care coordination functions including authorization of outpatient and inpatient services.
? Provide care management functions including identification of individual and community needs, residential resources and post inpatient placement options.
? Utilization management and review of inpatient and/or hospital diversion services for acute mental health care.
? Facilitate cross system collaboration for community mental health services with all stakeholders, including, network providers, external agencies, crisis and emergency services, DSHS, and other state agencies.
? Respond to RSN level complaints, grievances, appeals and fair hearings related to mental health services.
? Develop and monitor performance indicators, measures and outcomes for RSN and network providers.
? Develop, implement and monitor performance improvement projects.
? Provide consultation and education to stakeholders.
? Work with other RSN and Public Health staff as needed to provide quality management; resource management and utilization management of all outpatient and inpatient TMRSN funded services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree in psychology, social work or another mental health related field.
• Current licensure in the appropriate practice. Must be a qualified Mental Health Professional in the State of Washington in accordance with WAC 388-865-0150. Selected positions may require specialist certification in Children's or Older Adult Services.
• Three years professional and administrative experience providing services to individuals with chronic mental illness.
• Will be required to pass a background check.
• Ability to operate a personal computer, with applicable software, to identify resources, research and locate laws, regulations, data and information relevant to specific projects or situations and perform essential functions of the positions.
• A valid Washington State driver’s license or have requested and received an appropriate accommodation.
