Where Do I Take My?...

Books

Before delivering materials, please contact these organizations directly to verify prices (if any) and hours of operation. Thurston County maintains this list as a courtesy to the public and does not endorse or guarantee the quality of the service offered or provided.

If your business accepts these materials for recycling or resale and would like to be added to this list of vendors, please e-mail
ThurstonSolidWaste@co.thurston.wa.us

Remember that you may also be able to post your items on 2good2toss.com and other materials-exchange Web sites. Rules and restrictions vary by site.

Consider taking used books to a local used-book store. A staff member at the store will examine the books, check the store's inventory, and determine which books the store will take. Most used-book stores offer either in-store credit or cash for the books they accept. Paperback books may also be recycled in curbside recycle bins. Please place just a few hardbound books in the bin at a time so that the binding glue doesn't cause problems with the load.
