Wedding dresses

This Portland store partners with Wish Upon a Wedding – a non-profit that helps support weddings for couples facing serious illness or other life-altering circumstances. Half of the proceeds from the store selling the dress goes to the charity. They accept wedding gowns 2010 or newer (occasionally from pre 1970s), as well as veils, tiaras, headpieces, and slips. You can mail your items, or drop it off at the store or when they participate in traveling road shows at Bridal Expos.

This non-profit has a program to support families who have lost a baby. Wedding gowns, along with pale pink, pale blue, or lavender bridesmaid gowns are accepted to be transformed into a beautiful Angel Gown® garment for their baby for photo and burial purposes. They provide their gowns free of charge to any hospital or family requesting them. This non-profit has a rotating wedding gown donation cycle. The last cycle was open in September, 2015.
