Remember that you may also be able to post your items on 2good2toss.com and other materials-exchange Web sites. Rules and restrictions vary by site.

Examples of personal care items include: tampons, sanitary pads, toilet paper, tooth brushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, bar soap, razors, shaving cream, condoms and dental floss.

Best Buy stores across the country now accept almost all consumer electronics for free. (Fees apply for TVs, monitors, computers and laptops). For more information, visit Best Buy's recycling website. Visitors are limited to bringing in 2 units per day per household.
