Chemical Dependency Program
The Inmate Chemical Dependency Program provides a structured, monitored and supportive therapeutic environment utilizing Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) as the primary treatment modality.  It is designed to assist chemically dependent inmates in developing the cognitive skills, attitudes, and behavior essential for long-term recovery from alcoholism and/or chemical dependency.  Program goals include: reduction of violent and criminal behaviors, lowered incidents of recidivism, increased rates of employment, and reduction in behaviors associated with HIV / AIDS risk.  Indicators of treatment success are the development of attitudes, behaviors, and coping and life skills that will facilitate the participant's growth toward positive and productive lifestyles.  TCCF program participants are referred to treatment by court order and treatment program staff based on a sentence length of six months or more and a history of current and/or past drug-related offenses.  The three-phase program is graduated in both intensity and level of incarceration, utilizing Correctional Options (Work Release and Electronic Monitoring), providing inmates with a phased reintegration into the facility general population and the community.  The program also interfaces with the Superior Court Drug Court Program providing treatment in the jail for Drug Court participants experiencing relapse or other serious non-compliance with Drug Court regulations.
