County Employees Come up big for Charity!

Great response for Little Red School House

Thurston County employees donated considerable school supplies for this year’s drive but really came across with cash. Hundreds of local children were able to pick up classroom supplies and more partly due to the more than $2,500 donated by county workers.

A big thanks goes to County Treasurer Shawn Myers for offering up her face as a target for the Pie in the Face contest. Shawn received a total of 220 votes, at a dollar a vote. County Manager Don Krupp was a close second with 202 votes.

The winner of the school supply drive within county government is the Auditor's Office by a landslide with an average of 164.16 points per employee!! Second place goes to the Treasurer's Office with an average of 27.08 per employee and the third place team is Superior Court with an average of 25.63 points per employee.

Congratulations to the Auditor's Office and thanks to everyone who made the Little Red School House drive such a success this year!
