 Take Winter By Storm!

Attend a Free Emergency Preparedness Fair.

The winter weather in Thurston County is very unpredictable; some years we have substantial snowfall or flooding. Other years we have plain old northwest rain. Whatever may happen, it always pays to be prepared for whatever Mother Nature throws at us. That’s why you should attend a free Emergency Preparedness Fair at St. Martin’s University in Lacey on October 9th.

The fair will feature special presentations from Willie Scott of the U. S. Geological Survey on volcano threats, Ted Buehner of the National Weather Service and Bill Steele of the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network who will talk about earthquake threats.

The preparedness fair will also feature demonstrations and information from-
