Thurston
County seeks participation from all businesses and seeks active
participation from minority and woman-owned businesses. There are no
preferences that are provided through statute or ordinance, and preferences
are not provided for in any contract opportunity.
To encourage such participation,
Thurston County reserves the right to encourage MWBE business participation and
subcontracting at the time of solicitation. Such consideration would be
stated at the time of solicitation by Thurston County. Evaluation of
such participation may be included as part of a Request for Proposal
Evaluation, which would be stated in our solicitation. We will utilize the
State of Washington, Office of Minority and Women Business Enterprise vendor
listings as a way to expand our notifications or requests for quotations to
such businesses when we have opportunities available.
