EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
PUBLIC EDUCATION PROGRAM

Do you and your friends want to learn how to prepare for emergencies and disasters?

Thurston County Emergency Management has designed a public education program to improve individual and family emergency preparedness.  We can give a short, interactive presentation on basic preparedness for emergencies to neighborhoods, organizations and other groups.

Our program will build upon the "3 Days, 3 Ways" concept: Make a Plan, Have a Kit, Get Involved!

If you are interested in more information or scheduling a presentation, please contact Vivian Eason, Thurston County Emergency Management at 360-786-5243 or email easonv@co.thurston.wa.us.

We also offer the Map Your Neighborhood (MYN) program developed by the State of Washington.  For more information, click on the above link.

If your neighborhood wants to organize a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), we can offer the 20-hour training program.  For more information, click on the above link.

We have a variety of preparedness information on our Emergency Management Links page.

If you are interested in volunteer opportunities in emergency/disaster preparedness, please contact  The Volunteer Center at 360-741-2610.
