Scoil Rince Slieveloughane (Hillside Lake Irish Dancing School)
Scoil Rince Slieveloughane was established in 1998 and currently has studios in Olympia, Seattle, Bellevue, Mercer Island, North Bend, Monroe, Tacoma, Kent, and the Kitsap Peninsula. Students range from young children to adults and from beginner through championship levels. The school trains dancers for competitions, performances and recreation. Along with the dancing instruction, Scoil Rince Slieveloughane enthusiastically instills in its students a sense of Ireland's rich history.
Slieveloughane Irish Dance Company is the largest and most renowned Irish Dance Troupe in the Pacific Northwest. Performing alone and with bands like Eileen Ivers, Gaelic Storm, An Dochas, Magical Strings and Fiddle Head, the SRS Dancers have thrilled audiences with their lively and beautifully choreographed traditional and modern Irish Dance numbers. From small intimate shows to performances at venues such as the Paramount Theater, Admiral Theater, Seattle Center and the Washington State Capital, the Slieveloughane Irish Dance Company brings the grace, energy and excitement of Ireland to their appreciative audiences.
