Jazz Avenue Work Shop (J.A.W.S.)
J.A.W.S. is a quintet of professional
working musicians who’ve played with
some of the biggest names in show
business. When they come together they
make jazzy musical magic featuring two
saxes plus a rhythm section of
keyboards, drums and bass. Members also
teach and this performance will feature
North Thurston High School Sophomore,
Riley Storedahl on tenor saxophone. Band
members include John Beach, sax; Rudy
Draco, sax; Jim Cochran, keys; Rick
White, bass; and Aaron Hennings, Drums.
RhythmFire School of Music & Performance
The RhythmFire School bands are an
annual favorite on the main stage at the
Thurston County Fair. Audiences are
often amazed by performances from the
students who range in age from
grade-schoolers to high school
musicians. The evening will wrap up with
members of the faculty, all
pro-musicians, who will rock the stage
with a high-energy performance that will
inspire students and audience alike.
The 2011 Summer School of Rock at the
Thurston County Fair is made possible
through a partnership with O’Bee Credit
Union, Shipwreck Beads, GreenTime
