Under the direction of Tony Comerford,
South Sound Irish Dance has produced multiple World champions, as well as many more North American champions.
Dancers from the School have also gone on to dance in shows such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. Local dancers have also been members of the school’s dance choreography team that placed 6th at the 2009 World Championships in Philadelphia.
South Sound Irish Dance has been in existence since January of 2002, and our dancers enjoy entertaining a wide variety of audiences. Dancers of all ages and abilities joyfully demonstrate their love for dance through graceful soft shoe and rhythmic hard shoe dances, with a mixture of traditional and original choreography.
Classes are held weekly throughout the school year and are open to anyone ages four through adult, regardless of prior dance experience. We are very proud of all our dancers and have a reputation for fun and friendliness, as well as excellence in all we do!
"To see us dance is to hear our hearts speak."
