Description:
Seniors
provide one-on-one emotional support, mentoring, and
tutoring.
Target
Population: preschool
-21 years old
Length of Commitment: 20 hours per week
Volunteer Requirements: Low-income
seniors, ages 60 and over - may receive a monetary stipend
for helping at-risk or special needs youth. Seniors ages
55 and older and not low-income for any number of hours
through our RSVP Foster Grandparent Program.
Training/Orientation Requirements: 40 hours
pre-service training and 4 hours in-service training
each month.

Coaching
youth in foster care who want to graduate and explore
post secondary educational options. Serves 10 counties
in Region 6.

working with youth, motivational, mature, proactive,
patient, good communicator, resourceful, persistent,
good listener, ability to ask thoughtful questions, able
to accurately record services provided to youth and
access to automobile or public transportation.
Training/Orientation Requirements: Orientation
and ongoing training designed to assist coaches with the
tools, resources, and opportunities to support and
enhance their coaching experience.
