Data tidbits resulting from recent community requests are

- As of December 2009, 180 people in Thurston County
are living with HIV disease.

- In 2008, there were 87,917 visits to Thurston County
emergency rooms (Providence St. Peter Hospital and
Capital Medical Center combined). Since 2000, the
number of emergency room visits at Thurston County
hospitals increased by 45%.
- In 2009, at least 30 different languages other than
English were spoken by children enrolled in Thurston
County public schools.
