Public Health Impacts of Climate Change

In 2009, the Department received a one-year demonstration grant from the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) to:

Examine local capacity and readiness to address the public health impacts of climate change.
Increase awareness of the connections between public health, climate change and emergency preparedness.

Educational Materials

As a result of the grant, a set of educational materials were created to inform decision makers, public health staff and community partners about the public health impacts of climate change.
