Health Impacts of Climate Change

In 2009, the Department received a one-year demonstration grant from the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) to:
  • Examine local capacity and readiness to address the public health impacts of climate change.
  • Increase awareness of the connections between public health, climate change and emergency preparedness.

Educational Materials

As a result of the grant, a set of educational materials were created to inform decision makers, public health staff and community partners about the public health impacts of climate change. Additional materials generated through this project will be posted as they become available.
