  COMMUNITY GARDEN ASSESSMENT  
 
  The Thurston County Public Health and Social Services Department completed an assessment of community gardens in Thurston County with the help of community members, including community garden coordinators around the county and the Thurston County Community Garden Advisory Committee and Work Group.  A community garden, for the purposes of this assessment, was defined as a collaborative, shared, open space that is accessible to residents of the local community who are the gardeners.
