Pertussis (whopping cough) vaccine is now recommended for
school age children 11 years and older, and adults? In 2010
there have been localized outbreaks of pertussis (whooping
cough) throughout the US and a statewide outbreak in
California. While pertussis can be a mild to severe illness
in older children and adults, it can be life-threatening for
infants. Protect yourself and others – get your pertussis
immunization.
Pertussis immunizations for young children are available
from private provider offices. Local pharmacies offer the
