The Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) Program serves children who have serious physical, behavioral or emotional conditions that require health and related services beyond those generally required by children. In Washington State, children who participate in this program must be under the age of 18 years at initial enrollment and have, or be at risk of developing a serious or chronic condition which may prevent them from growing, developing, playing like other children their age, or a condition that places the child at risk for becoming disabled.

Children with Special Health Care Needs is a state funded program for families with children who have special health care needs. This is a no-cost service that provides support to families and assistance in care coordination.
