THURSTON THRIVES

education

purpose/scope:

The Education Action Team has worked over the past half year to develop a strategy and recommendations to increase high school completion and the attainment of post-secondardy credentials in our community. Educational attainment is a key factor in the long term health of local residents. The action teamís comprehensive approach strives to increase both the rate of high school completion and post-secondary success through expanded school-community partnerships, improved support services, and more engaging learning opportunities. The team presented its recommendations to the Board of Health and Thurston Thrives Advisory Council on February 11, 2014.
