Guidelines for Completing the Application 

 
Read the following instructions carefully before completing the Application.  Please complete the application on a typewriter or personal computer or print in ink.  All questions must be answered completely and accurately.  A resume will not be accepted in lieu of completing the application.  You may be disqualified for any false or misleading statements or for omitting information.  
 
1.Position Title: Fill in the exact title of the position for which you are applying.  If this is left blank, your application will be disqualified.
 
2.Education:  You must include a complete record of your training and educational background.  Please read the employment opportunity or the web site carefully for any special educational requirements.  If more space is needed, attach additional sheet(s).
 
3.Licenses:  If the position requires a specific license or certificate, list the full name or the license or certificate, the document number and the official expiration date of the document.
 
4. Employment History: You must include a complete list of all paid and/or volunteer work experience, as well as periods of unemployment, for at least the last 10 years.  If more space is needed, attach additional sheet(s).  A resume will not be accepted in lieu of completing the application.  A resume may be included to supplement the application.
 
5. Signature:  Your original signature and the date signed are required.  If the application is not signed, it will be disqualified.

7.The completed Employment Application, and all other required documents, must be hand delivered to the courthouse by the closing date or postmarked by the closing date.  Return your application, plus any additional documents to:  Thurston County Information Desk, 2000 Lakeridge Drive SW, Olympia, WA  98502.
 
NOTE:  This application and other information submitted will not be returned to you; therefore, we recommend that you keep a copy of your completed application for your personal records.
